Help Needed

Dewberry Fire & Rescue needs YOUR help.

Serving on a volunteer fire department is an excellent way to contribute to your community.  You will learn new skills that will benefit you throughout your life.

We’re looking for dedicated volunteers 18 years of age or older.  You need to be able to attend calls and bi-monthly scheduled training and meetings, held 1st and 3rd Thursdays each month.  Any fire or medical experience and training would be an asset but is not required.  We will provide any necessary training.

Dewberry Fire and Rescue has been operating since 1993.  We respond to fires, motor vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies over approximately 1000 square miles.  Our area includes the village of Dewberry as well as the surrounding area: north to secondary highway 640, east to the Saskatchewan border, 6 miles past highway 41 to the west and south to township road 523.

Our first response service is a necessity to the health of those we serve, as emergency ambulance care comes out of Vermilion or Elk Point, both around 30 minutes away.  Our early intervention can make a lifesaving difference to someone suffering an acute medical condition.
